Block Yourself!

Want to know the two words that I used to loathe?
COLOR BLOCK
Colored Blocks

Nooo, not those pretty colored blocks!
COLOR BLOCK!

Color Block Silk Shirts - GASP!
The style - which can be bold, obnoxious, and at times interesting, to say the least - was a part of my daily life for over three years. There were actual times if I heard, "Look at the Color Block ----- (fill in the blanks)," I was more likely to block my entire face to contain myself from gasping and yelling out,"What the hell were you thinking when you designed, sold, and mass produced that... interesting... color combination!"

This was the very type of Color Block shirts for men that disturbed me daily for over three years and tainted my imagination of ever wearing Color Blocked anything, ever!!

But, fast forward a little over a year and a half and my imagination is no longer tainted, but rather inspired to dress myself in that once despised, but interesting Color Block! I no longer think of color block as the two, three, maybe four tone blocked shirts Charlie Sheen used to wear on Two and a Half Men - instead I think of it as beautiful, reviving, and sometimes daring!

Take a look at this collection I put together of some of my favorite color blocked items out there. Note: All items are $50.00 and under.

And all that Fur...

This winter season, I have found a new obsession...Faux Fur! It's funny to me because Fur was always something I viewed as old, raggidy, and something that just sat in a closet for years and collected dust! But now, it's got a new meaning to me -  furry, fabulous, and frugal!

Fur has brought on a whole new meaning in the fashion industry. If you're not dripped in fur from head to toe, you will still see it accented on everything from your winter coat, to your winter boots. Here are some of my favorite furs of the season:
Hawke & Co. Faux Fur Vest - $40.00 - Available in Ash

Mongolian Faux Fur Vest - $40.00 - Available in Black & Ivory

Surell Faux Fur Quilted Aviator Hat - $40.00
Flat Sole Fur Boot - $50.00 - Available in Ice

Merry Christmas to ME!

Christmas is my favorite holiday, and each year, I am blessed to recieve such amazing gifts from friends and family! But there's always that favorite gift that most people are over the top excited about - and this year - mine was...

Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar - Anthropologie - $28.00

this absolutly gorgeous, delighfully smelling candle from Anthropologie! Uh huh, this girl right here needs nothing more then candles and clothes in her life to keep her happy! It's only $28.00 and  has a burn time of 70 hours!! Move over Yankee Candle...Capri Blue just won my heart!!!

This is a great, savvy gift for any woman with a soft spot for candles. Whether it be for the holidays, birthday, anniversary, or just an appreciation gift - I can say with full confidence that she will LOVE it!

What was your favorite gift this holiday season?

I'm Back!

After taking a much needed break for the holidays...I'm back!!! The holidays were lovely. I absolutly love spending time celebrating with my family and closest friends but as always, the holidays go by too quick! After some January blues, I'm back to reality now and ready to report all my savvy finds!!!

Bring it on 2012!!!
