Brisk air in the morning, warm sun during the day, and cool chilly nights all mean one thing to me…Fall is in the air! Fall is by far one of my favorite seasons. As a proud north-easterner, born and raised, I look forward to the color change in leaves, pumpkin & apple picking, outdoor hikes, and of course, the very best of fall fashion!!!
Fall fashion is my favorite, because it allows me to dress like it’s spring during the day, and simply add a sweater to keep warm at night. One of my favorite looks this fall has been the long pleated skirt (mid calf length), with a tucked in jersey tank. The simplicity of this look is sophisticated and stylish all at the same time.
The look I have put together is perfect for early to mid fall season. It basically gives you two looks for one day. It’s ideal for those who know they will be spending all day and night in the city and has nowhere to change into their outfits for dinner and going out.
The core of this outfit is the pleated skirt (Jane Norman, $17) and tank (Old Navy, $13). During the day, it could be warm enough to wear as is, or with a lightweight scarf (not featured). The navy flats (Lalesso, $48) paired effortlessly with the soft pink tone in the skirt and gives the outfit a flattering burst of color. The necklace ($17) along with the bangle (Forever 21, $6.80) compliments the flats, and the purse (Top Shop, $15) completes the entire look and is perfect for the storage of your money, cell phone and whatever else you need to carry around with you.
The moment the sun goes down and you’re ready to put your party shoes on, simply switch out the flats for these beige suede platforms (H&M, $20) and keep yourself warm in the cream-colored cardigan (Romwe, $34.99). You are ready for your night out in the city!
